A very interesting read, if somewhat scary when you think of both the potentials and the dangers. The one line that did not fill me with warm fuzzies...
Weiss is convinced that he will soon be able to "program cell behaviors as easily as we program computers."
Considering the buggy software that regularly gets churned out, this is not a good feeling when you talk about an error ridden life form.

If you are looking for an outstanding book on WPF, I highly recommend Windows Presentation Foundation Unleashed by Adam Nathan (SAMS). It does a great job approaching WPF from a XAML first perspective and the layout and use of diagrams/color is excellent.
