Big News Unveiled During "Dinner with Allchin"

A very interesting read on one guy's dinner with Jim Allchin. The "sharing network memory" thing was especially cool - good enough to get him linked from Microsoft Watch.

Local Live Map Add-In for Outlook

5/24/2006 2:05:45 PM
There have been some very good improvements to Local Live and its mapping capability. Enough that I may now ditch Google Maps in favor of Local Live. Cool things like integrated traffic congestions, construction, etc. provide a lot of value. In addition, there is a new Local Live Add-In for Outlook that lets you add directions to your appointments. A couple of bugs, but still very cool.

The Rest of the Bumper Sticker

5/24/2006 7:48:08 AM
I have seen a bumper sticker a lot lately that says...

"Well behaved women rarely make history"

The quote is by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, a noted feminist author. Of course, the fact that the quote comes from a feminist is really beside the point since the bumper sticker could just as easily read "Well behaved people rarely make history" and the fundamental tenet remains the same.

Of course, the bumper sticker really should continue and make the equally salient point...

"And misbehaved women/people that don't make history are just pains in the *ss."

An important point to make, I think.

A cool write up by an non-Microsoftie (perhaps even anti-Microsoftie) attendee for both MIX and MTS. Read on about the Top 13 reasons to CONSIDER the Microsoft platform for Web 2.0 development. It's posts like this that warm my heart. ;-)
